Every furniture piece is a reflection of its creator. To that accord, Formica Group has brought four renowned designers under one roof to create a 4X4 furniture series, imbued with each designer’s design ethos. A limited-edition furniture collection, 4X4, celebrates vision, invention, and materiality. It includes four furniture items, Sarsen, New Earth, Loop, and Reflejos, by as many renowned designers, Manuel Espejo, Nacho Alvarez, Sigfrido Serra, and Virginia Albuja, respectively. The collection is a limited run of 16 exclusive pieces.

Presented at Madrid Design Festival 2025, each designer reflects their own vision, individuality, and distinct style in these pieces. Together, they redefine contemporary furniture, blending their creativity with the abiding elegance of materials. The series uses materials sourced from Formica Laminate, Arpa Italian high-quality surfaces, Homapal metal laminates, and FENIX, each of which celebrates the versatility of high-pressure laminates and how they transform furniture and home interiors.

First in the lineup is the Sarsen sofa. It is a contemporary piece of furniture that draws inspiration from the iconic Stonehenge structures. It has clean and straight lines, with a robust build that pays homage to these ancient formations. Its sophisticated design can bring freshness and elegance to any space, while the warmth and texture of the materials with golden undertones elevate the furniture into a centerpiece.

New Earth Table by Nacho Alvarez

This furniture piece is inspired by Cubism, Neoplasticism, and Constructivism. The table exhibits horizontal forms and clean lines that, when united, create a balance between form and function. It goes beyond artistic expression to become a visual magnet for timeless design in the ever-evolving interior design landscape. New Earth arouses a sense of harmony in a chaotic world. The table adds a distinct character with a linear design that binds the room together.

Loop Table/Stool by Sigfrido Serra

Practical and functional, Loop is a multifunctional furniture. It can be a coffee table, side table, or stool, seamlessly adapting to the aesthetics and needs of a modern home. Loop’s fluid and flexible form evokes a sense of movement and flow. Beyond being furniture, Loop is an artistic creation that blurs the line between art and technology. It consists of three shades of green and a dark violet color, echoing imagination and ingenuity.

This beautiful sculptural piece is inspired by light and reflection and fills the interior with striking visuals. The furniture has an illuminated base where each angle reflects and interacts with light, creating an enriching and evoking visual experience for the users. Reflejos celebrates light, form, and texture to create an interactive piece of furniture that becomes a statement piece in any room.

The epitome of excellence, grace, and contemporary design, the 4X4 designer furniture collection will echo your design sensibilities. This limited collection of 16 pieces (numbered and exclusive) can be availed from Moblitte.
