At Salone del Mobile 2025, Knoll is exhibiting new products from leading names from the design industry including French-Canadian designer Willo Perron, known for his unconventional approach. After the Pillo modular sofa that looks like a bunch of pillows stacked over each other, Knoll is back with the Perron Bun lounge chair and ottoman.

This versatile furniture piece is designed to blur the boundaries between lounge chair, sofa, and bed. Owing to the upholstered seat and backrest, this chair is conceived as a plush cloud floating above a sculptural base.

The Perron Bun lounge chair comprises of a thick cushion paired with a tubular steel frame available in a polished chrome or ultra-matte onyx finish. Featuring a rounded design, the cushion filled with variable-density flexible polyurethane padding wrapped in polyester fiber is visually and physically comfortable.

The designer compares it with a bird’s nest and it surely has something to do with it. The curves of the sling base hold the sitter in a comfortable, reclined position, while the discreet stilt legs virtually disappear to make the cloud-like seat appear to float in space.

The Perron Bun lounge chair is available with or without an ottoman, starting at $5,790 at Knoll’s US website. With its visually light and comfortable form, it is ideal to add a relaxed aesthetic and contemporary touch to any space.

Knoll has also collaborated with architects Sharon Johnston and Mark Lee of Johnston Marklee to introduce the Biboni Sofa featuring plush scallops and gentle folds that create an ergonomic, body-hugging shape. Another addition is the Muecke Wood Collection by architect and sculptor Jonathan Muecke which consists of dining chairs and tables characterized by exposed mortise joints.

The brand is also reissuing occasional tables by Joseph D’Urso, originally designed in the 1980s, and Ludwig Mies van der Rohe’s Barcelona Collection is also refreshed with new fabric upholstery and frame finishes.
