The power equipment brand EcoFlow has introduced STREAM Series, its first plug-and-play home solar system with storage and for direct use. Designed for homes with balconies or backyards, it helps lower electricity bills by using solar energy for everyday needs. What sets it apart is the easy DIY installation that requires no complicated setup or utility approval. This flexible solar system allows people to harness clean energy from their balconies, patios, backyards, and other outdoor spaces.
The EcoFlow STREAM series comprises STREAM Ultra and STREAM Microinverter. The STREAM Ultra is a 1.92kWh solar battery with a built-in hybrid micro-inverter that plugs directly into AC sockets to deliver solar power. There are dual AC outlets to power two appliances simultaneously, with 1,200W on-grid output.
The STREAM Ultra maximizes energy savings by storing excess solar power collected during daylight hours and making it available for regular use later or in case of a power outage. It can collect 2000W of solar input, with 1,200W being directly supplied into the home via the built-in microinverter, while excess energy is stored in the battery. This flexible DIY solar storage can be expanded up to 11.52kWh.
STREAM Ultra uses LFP batteries that retain 70 percent capacity even after 6,000 cycles and operate reliably in extremely low temperatures. There is a built-in intelligent temperature management system that automatically activates heating when the battery drops below 0°C, allowing it to operate smoothly even at -20°C. With a NEMA 4 rating for the Ultra battery and NEMA 6 for the Microinverter, both products can handle indoor and outdoor conditions.
On the other hand, the STREAM Micro-inverter is suitable for homes without energy storage needs. It plugs into a standard wall outlet and provides up to 1,200W of solar power. This energy is instantly available for use and helps you lower reliance on the grid and reduce utility bills. When combined, the STREAM Ultra + Microinverter setup offers up to 3,200W of total input, with 1,200W used instantly and up to 2,000W reserved for battery charging.
The STREAM Series boasts a sleek, compact design with an anodized aluminum finish, hidden cables, and a flush-mount style that blends easily into modern homes. Its built-in batteries use a fan-less cooling system that quietly releases heat to keep noise levels below 30 dB while operating.

The STREAM Series also works with EcoFlow’s OASIS AI-powered energy management platform available through the EcoFlow app. It helps you save on electricity bills, store energy more efficiently, and stay prepared for power outages. The app tracks your energy use, local rates, and weather forecasts to charge the battery when rates are low and use stored power when rates are high.
The app also look into local sunlight forecasts and appliance usage patterns to create the energy usage plan. It also features a 24/7 multilingual AI assistant that keeps you informed, helps manage your system, and answers product-related questions.
EcoFlow claims, with one STREAM Ultra and one Microinverter, you can get over 6,000 kWh of power per year that is enough to cover about half of a typical U.S. home’s needs and save up to $1,027 on your electric bill. The STREAM Series is now available for pre-order, with the STREAM Ultra offered at an early-bird price of $1,199. Official sales begin on July 14.
