The portable power station market is booming, and that’s why a number of companies have entered the space, including the drone maker DJI, which launched the Power 1000 and 500 power stations last year. Building on that momentum, DJI has now introduced Power 1000 V2, an upgraded 1kWh portable battery, and even a home backup system, which delivers a higher continuous output, allowing it to run more energy-intensive devices. The V2 charges faster, operates more quietly, offers enhanced weather resistance, and supports app connectivity, which was not available in the original models.
The DJI Power 1000 V2 has a battery capacity of 1,024 Wh, with a stable output of 2,600W. It can fully charge in under an hour using grid power, or reach 80 percent in just 37 minutes. You can also charge it via solar panels using the DJI Power Solar Panel Adapter Module (MPPT) or the DJI Power 1.8kW Solar/Car Super Fast Charger, with up to 1,800W of solar input for a rapid 40-minute charge. Its capacity is expandable to 11,264 Wh by connecting up to five 2048 Wh expansion batteries, making it ideal for home backup and emergency power needs.
The 14.2kg DJI Power 1000 V2 features an advanced intelligent battery management system (BMS), which uses long-lasting LFP cells that last up to 10 years or 4,000 cycles. For safety, the BMS includes internal temperature sensors, fuses, and flame-retardant materials. A new potting process and sub-nano coating protect the inverter from rain, condensation, or salt spray conditions. This design makes it ideal for outdoor adventures, camping by the sea, or high-altitude use.
The portable power station has dual 140W USB-C, dual USB-A, two AC outputs, SDC, and SDC Lite ports to support a wide range of devices. The new DJI Home app allows users to control it remotely, switch AC outputs, adjust settings, and monitor real-time power status, as well as manage expansion batteries and super-fast chargers.

The power station features additional AC outlets compatible with China, North America, and Japan, making it an ideal portable power solution, especially for global travelers and campers. It can charge a phone about 57 times, power a camping light 32 times, run a car fridge for 19 hours, or operate a coffee machine for 55 minutes. With optional fast-charge cables, DJI drone users can recharge select drone batteries in about 30 minutes using the DJI Power SDC function. As noted by Engadget, the DJI Power 1000 V2 is now available in Europe through DJI stores for £799 (about $1,100).
