As a nod to Murano glassware tradition, Jacobsen brings back colors and whimsy in her latest Le Verre Bonbon glassware collection, consisting of two sets of glasses in two different sizes (grand and petit) and a simple palette of opaque colors – terracotta, cornflower, topaz, and white – unlike her usual opulent pink and green tones.
This collection expands upon her previous Bouquet line with playful forms, gentle ripples, and earthy tones, rejoicing in a summer vibe. Designed as an everyday object, Le Verre was part of Jacobsen’s famous Bouquet collection, exhibiting subtle floral shapes in the signature ribbed clear borosilicate glasses.
For the Le Verre Bonbon, the ribbing has been removed; instead, colorful stripes in earthy hues have taken its place. These colored stripes add an eye-catching detail and highlight the elusive curves of the glass while de-emphasizing the floral element of its counterpart.
Crafted from borosilicate, these glasses are called ‘a sweet sibling to the classic, clear Le Verre set’. Le Verre Bonbon displays a curvaceous design and uneven pastel stripes, running vertically along the profile of the cup, adding a flair of magic and meticulous artistry.
