EcoFlow has continuously been enticing people with its portable power stations, and now it is looking to take on the Tesla Powerwall with its new Ocean Pro residential battery system. The company claims it delivers twice the solar capacity, double the backup power, and 67 percent more peak power compared to its counterparts. That includes the market-leading Tesla Powerwall 3. Its modular design lets you begin with a smaller system and expand later as your energy demands grow.
Each battery has 10kWh of storage, and you can expand the system up to 80kWh for bigger energy needs. With 24kW of continuous power, OCEAN Pro can run all your home appliances at once, even large items like two 5-ton HVAC units, EV chargers, pool pumps, and refrigerators. Unlike typical home batteries, OCEAN Pro works with solar panels, its own batteries, or gas generators if needed. This keeps your home powered during outages, storms, or costly peak hours.
EcoFlow OCEAN Pro automatically learns your energy habits, monitors electricity prices, and predicts weather to optimize power use without any effort. It also allows you to sell extra energy back to the grid, turning unused power into profit.
Homeowners can also use the EcoFlow app to reduce their electricity bills by up to 118 percent. It provides real-time energy monitoring and uses AI to predict weather, energy prices, and usage. The app also works smoothly with smart home devices like thermostats, EV chargers, Apple Home, Google Nest, and Alexa.
The whole-home battery uses its TriShield Protection System to work in inclement weather conditions. This shield includes fire prevention, flood resistance up to 2.6 feet, and IP67 waterproofing. It is the first in its class to get the top UL 9540B safety certification for energy storage systems. Designed for long-term reliability, it comes with a 15-year warranty.

Another cool feature is that OCEAN Pro can connect to the power grid in any area, which means homeowners can sell extra energy back once the battery is full. This feature is even more effective when paired with EcoFlow’s Virtual Power Plant (VPP) network, which automatically manages energy return based on real-time grid demand and electricity prices. By sending power back during high-rate periods or times of peak demand, homeowners can use their battery more efficiently and earn additional income.
After the success of its PowerOcean series in Europe, EcoFlow has launched the OCEAN Pro home energy storage system in the U.S. market. Now available for pre-order, OCEAN Pro comes in three premium finishes to match different home styles: sleek aluminum for a modern look, elegant walnut wood for a classic touch, and lightweight carbon fiber for a high-performance feel.
