One of the biggest challenges of camping is keeping food and drinks cold on the go. Traditional coolers are either bulky or not so travel-friendly to carry alongside, thus leaving adventurers with soggy sandwiches and lukewarm beverages. Thankfully, we have a range of companies building backpack coolers these days, which promise to be compact, lightweight, and easy to carry.

Litheli, a brand known for its battery-powered tools and equipment, saw huge potential in the market and has announced another all-terrain cooler dubbed Litheli FrozenPack Wild. Launched on Kickstarter, this innovative product combines cutting-edge technology with a rugged, user-friendly design, making it a standout in the crowded cooler market. Litheli FrozenPack Wild comes as a successor to the company’s previous build, Litheli FrozenPack, announced last year.

Akin to modern coolers, Litheli FrozenPack Wild comes with a backpack design redefining portable cooling for camping, hiking, beach trips, and beyond. However, the cooler isn’t meant to be the bane of one’s back and features five-way mobility. This includes towing it via 4-inch shock-absorbing wheels, carrying it on the shoulder, courtesy of padded, breathable straps, mounting it on a bike, fitting it on a car trunk, and lifting it via hand, thanks to anti-slip handles on both sides.

The Litheli FrozenPack Wild boasts a 16-liter capacity and can hold 12 cans, 7 bottles, or even a 2-liter bottle, offering ample space for sustenance for group outings. Compared to ChillBee SofiChill 22 or other innovative backpack coolers on the market, this capacity is quite less, but Litheli covers this up with an advanced battery system and Bluetooth control of the FrozenPack Wild.

Another big highlight of the cooler is its battery-powered cooling system, which uses a high-performance compressor to drop temperatures from 77 degrees Fahrenheit to 32 degrees Fahrenheit in just 15 minutes. This rapid cooling ensures your drinks stay icy and your perishables remain fresh, even in scorching heat. The cooler’s triple-layer insulation keeps contents chilled for up to 4 hours without power, eliminating the need for messy ice.

The cooler also supports smart Bluetooth control, allowing users to adjust temperatures via a smartphone app, a feature that adds a layer of convenience for tech-savvy adventurers. With a noise level below 37dB, it operates quieter than a whisper, ensuring it won’t disturb your campsite or picnic.

FrozenPack Wild portable cooler has a swappable U20 IPS Super Battery that provides up to 9 hours of runtime. Interestingly, the battery is compatible with Litheli’s U20 series tools, such as lawnmowers and drills. This battery doubles as a power bank, charging phones or laptops via USB-C, making it a versatile companion for off-grid adventures. For those on the move, the cooler can also be powered via a car’s 12/24V DC or 110/240V AC, offering multiple charging options to keep the cooling going.

Taking notes from Nomad Box, Litheli has utilised the cooler lid to function as a prep table too. “With one touch, unfold the expansion table to turn your cooler into a prep station or dining space,” the company states. The unit features 28 standard mount points, turning FrozenPack Wild into the hub of your outdoor life.

When compared with top-tier manufacturers like Anker, Litheli is still far behind in design and tech, but does stand out for its blend of portability and cooling efficiency, making it a marquee choice for those who demand more from their gear. Currently live on Kickstarter, the FrozenPack Wild is available at an early bird price of $429 for a standard kit. With a campaign running for 30 more days, it’s an exciting opportunity for outdoor enthusiasts to snag a cutting-edge cooler at a discount.
