Halloween is here, and people are dressing up their houses inside out. Many are sticking to one theme or staying true to the tested methods of blood and gore. However, this Dartmouth family is going all out with its Halloween display, which is an elaborate tribute to the cinematic masterpieces from both small and big screens.

Dartmouth’s Michelle Almeida has been putting on elaborate Halloween displays for over a decade. She feels that Halloween decorations do not necessarily have to be scary; it could be a balance between fun and fright, a sentiment echoed by her home’s display for Halloween 2025.

“It stemmed from being a kid. My dad would do homemade crafts and fill socks and make them into ghosts and do homemade stuff and hang them in the trees just because he wanted us to be involved,” Almeida shared with Fun 107.

The mother of two now has her turn to decorate the yard, transforming it into a big, fun Halloween party with giant skeletons, a faux pumpkin patch, and setting various pop-culture scenarios from her favorite movies and TV shows. Her Halloween display even has an archway leading up to the house. The kicker? The arch is made of skulls and bones, making it goosebump-worthy.

She has also reserved a section in her yard for a Jurassic Park-themed décor with skeleton dinosaurs. Belle and Beast from Beauty and the Beast are also part of the display.. Snow White, along with her dwarves and the Evil Queen disguised as the old lady, and Rapunzel with Flynn Rider and Mother Gothel, have also joined the party.

The yard has many other spooktacular sights, such as the Sanderson sisters from Hocus Pocus brewing a potion to get back at people in Salem; and the Iron Throne from Game of Thrones, along with Khaleesi and her dragons; Tatiana in her famous gown with her frog, from the Princess & the Frog; an Under the Sea display from Little Mermaid complete with Ariel, Ursula, King Triton, and Prince Eric; and even ET makes an appearance riding a bike with a skeleton. You can spot many of the skeletons from Home Depot’s lineup, and one very popular one from Costco.

All this started with a hobby, and after two years, her husband realized that she was doing something out of the box. Kids really are a fan of her 12-foot skeleton, which could be because he is named Tiny.

You can check Almeida’s fabulous cinematic masterpiece at the corner of Pinehurst and Graystone in Dartmouth. It can also be a great inspiration for you to step up your Halloween display game this year.
