Civivi’s Partake is More of a Kitchen Accessory Than EDC Gear

I am a sucker for EDC gear. Anything that goes beyond just a knife gets my attention. So, when I came across Civivi’s latest innovation, the Partake Black Aluminum Multi-Tool, I couldn’t help but get excited. Unlike typical EDC tools or folders that stick to one basic function, Civivi’s new design is a compact statement against waste. To put that into context, it cuts down on disposable utensil waste by combining a reusable spoon, fork, and knife into one sleek, versatile tool.

Measuring 4.37 inches when closed, the Partake is built for the urban dweller who effortlessly hops between meetings, markets, and spontaneous picnics, all while keeping the environment in mind. It reminds me of the EATi Mag, a budget-friendly three-piece fork/knife/spoon set. Unlike EATi Mag, though, the Partake is an expensive multi-tool that focuses on both sleekness and flexibility.

At $105, the Partake might be a bit pricey, but it’s far more pocket-friendly than any other option on the market. While it lacks a sharp cutting edge, Gear Patrol mentions that Civivi claims the Partake’s bottle/can opener also doubles as a seatbelt cutter, adding some life-saving functionality to the mix.

Made from stainless steel and aluminum, this EDC tool weighs in at just 0.2lbs. Gear Patrol points out that the fork and bottle opener (as well as the knife and spoon) fit together perfectly but can easily be separated with a twist before unfolding smoothly into their full form. Civivi is slated to debut the Partake prototype at Blade Show West 2025 in Salt Lake City this weekend.
