Raw-Edges Design Studio has reintroduced the LightMass^ hanging pendants with a cool new twist. These pendants were first unveiled at the London Design Festival 2024 and now, these pendant lamps have made a return. Although the design is same, the new lamps have no dependency on an external light source unlike the previous version.
Earlier, the lamps required a light source that was placed outside the pendants for them to catch and reflect the light. In the upgrade, the LEDs are placed inside the structure itself. By placing the lighting source in the body of the lamp, the mesh design blurs the line between matter and light.
The LightMass^ 2025 collection pendants with raw edges and flat meshes are 3D printed using bio filament. These flat meshes are turned into voluminous structures using engineered zipper edges. True to its name, the pendants are lightweight and can be recycled at the end of their life.
Each pendant lamp has a sculptural form, which resembles an airy line drawing suspended in the space. As seen in the pictures, these pendants have tighter lines near the LED that soften the glare while more open lines are placed away from the LED to give a feeling of transparency. Its graphic, minimal form along with airy, meshed surface seems like a see-through structure at the first glance. When turned on, the lamps showcase a beautiful pattern reflecting its linear design.

From afar, the pendants look like symmetrical clouds flying in your living room. All the different pendant models under the LightMass^ 2025 collection are named after their actual weight adding to their poetic charm.
