The coziness of being at home is unmatched, no matter where you go. Designed by Singapore-born designer Gabriel Tan for the Danish lighting house Louis Poulsen, the Rumee 220 portable lamp gives you the liberty to have a warm, home-like companion everywhere you go.

The name ‘Rumee’ is a clever fusion of Danish and English words, with ‘rum’ meaning ‘room’ and ‘me,’ referencing ‘roomie,’ slang for roommate. This bilingual play of words elicits the idea of someone you can share your space with, apart from the lamp being a decoration.

Made from injection-molded polycarbonate, the Rumee 220 has an organic design, which is inspired by oscillating curves of a large beach hat, adding a natural note to the design. The integrated LED light source emits a warm 360-degree glow, which is enhanced by a diffuser for glare-free light. The portable luminaire offers a lighting solution that caters to your needs effortlessly.

The lamp is constructed for optimal mobility and features a comfortable grip that makes it easy to carry from one room to another. Additionally, the brightness can be flexibly adjusted to your moods or activity by using the included step dimmer.

Gabriel provides three different colors, such as night blue, cloud white, and earth grey, to choose from that fit your vibes and moods. With a height of nine inches, a width of eight inches, and a length of eight inches, the Rumee 220 lamp creates a warm and familiar atmosphere in any room. The lamp is also IP44-certified to offer protection against splashing water for outdoor mishaps.

Weighing 0.8 kg, the mobile companion has a 300 mAh rechargeable battery that works up to five hours, giving you ample time to read bedtime stories. The luminous Rumee 220 portable lamp will make you feel at home in any place you go.
