The iconic Lenox Spice Village is making a huge comeback after a 35-year-long hiatus. The spice jars shaped like beautiful storybook houses bring back a sense of whimsical folklore-inspired nostalgia. Each design is so adorable that it can easily double as a Christmas village decoration. Since there are 24 jars in the collection, one might even use them as an Advent calendar, counting down to the most wonderful time of the year.

With the hype around the cottagecore aesthetic gaining traction on social media, demands for the Spice Village increased. The Lenox Spice Village was originally released in 1989, which a few fans linked to singer Taylor Swift (1989 being her birth year and the name of one of her most famous albums).

The collection includes 24 pastel colored spice jars, with each jar labeled with the name of a different spice or herb. It includes jars for Rosemary, Oregano, Basil, Allspice, Cinnamon, Nutmeg, Garlic, Saffron, Bay, Tarragon, Ginger, Thyme, Parsley, Marjoram, Mustard, Clove, Coriander, Sage, Paprika, Onion, Chive, Pepper, Celery, and Dill.

The jars are designed in the shape of storybook houses, giving them a holiday charm as well. Each jar is crafted by artisans with beautiful hand-painted details like shutters, doors, windows, etc. It brings out the wonderful vintage charm, giving the spice jars a special look. Each house jar has a unique architectural design, adding variety to the collection.

Each jar measures 0.25 feet high, and 0.14 feet long and wide. You can easily fit the entire village collection anywhere in the kitchen, whether in a drawer or on a spice cabinet, but these are meant to be displayed. The pastel spice jars are light and easy to handle; you can quickly grab one even when you’re in the middle of cooking. You can keep them on the counter while cooking or baking without taking up much space.

The spice jars are made from porcelain. The lid has a rubber gasket, which creates an airtight seal, so you don’t need to worry about moisture ruining your precious spices. Each of the jars comes with a 5-ounce capacity.

Steve Baram, CEO of Lenox Corporation, said, “We’re excited to bring back a piece of Lenox history that so many of our customers have been asking for. We’re proud to reintroduce it to a new generation while honoring the timeless charm that made it iconic.”

The trends on social media went viral, with fans mentioning it in their videos that Spice Village looks like something Taylor Swift would keep in her kitchen. As a result, the demand skyrocketed with this fan-driven association. Thanks to this viral trend, we can get our hands on the reimagined collection of the classic Lenox Spice Village that can even double as a Christmas decoration displayed on a table or mantel.

You can easily place the entire village set on the kitchen shelves.
