With the World’s First 130-Inch Micro RGB TV, Samsung Eyes the CES Crown

An artistic centerpiece that shapes the room

In an unprecedented move, the South Korean tech giant Samsung has unveiled the world’s first 130-inch Micro RGB TV at CES 2026. This comes as an upgrade to the 115-inch Micro RGB TV, which the company launched last year.

The biggest highlight of the 130-inch Micro RGB TV (R95H) is Samsung’s proprietary Micro RGB technology, which employs independent red, green, and blue diodes to generate colors directly, bypassing traditional backlighting methods. “The display elevates picture performance with Micro RGB Precision Color 100, delivering 100% of the BT.2020 wide color gamut,” Samsung writes in its press release.

Akin to its formerly announced RGB line, the 130-inch TV incorporates advanced processing like the Micro RGB Color Booster Pro, Micro RGB HDR Pro, and Micro RGB AI Engine Pro, all contributing to “enhance dull tones and refine contrast, delivering vivid color and subtle detail across bright and dark scenes alike for realism and picture fidelity.”

Additionally, the 130-inch model also includes Samsung’s proprietary Glare Free technology, “which minimizes reflections, further preserving clear color and contrast across a variety of lighting conditions for the best viewing experience.” The TV further supports HDR 10+ Advanced and the company’s Eclipsa Audio that offers enhanced picture and sound quality to the viewer.

Among an array of features is Samsung’s Vision AI Companion, which it can tap into for conversational search, as well as Microsoft Copilot and Perplexity. Other notable software highlights include AI Football Mode Pro, which adjusts audio and video for a stadium-like experience, and AI Sound Controller Pro, allowing independent tweaks to commentary, crowd noise, and music. Running on Tizen OS, the TV is promised seven years of software updates, ensuring longevity.

Besides technical know-how, another aspect of Samsung’s 130-inch Micro RGB TV that really left me drooling was the design choice the company took to position it. The TV is suspended by a large metal stand that surrounds the entire screen, allowing the viewer to tilt the screen just a bit. This further reminds me of Samsung’s Timeless Gallery, which also created an illusion of a floating screen or a big canvas. Samsung’s 130-inch TV is no different, as it resembles a grand architectural window rather than a standard television.

Micro RGB represents the peak of our picture quality innovation, and the new 130-inch model takes that vision even further. We’re reviving the spirit of our original design philosophy introduced more than a decade ago to deliver an unmistakably premium display, engineered with technology for a new generation – Hun Lee, Executive Vice President, Visual Display Business at Samsung Electronics.

Since this is a one-off model (basically a concept), there is no word on the price and exact release date. However, it’s worth noting that Samsung took the 115-inch model from concept to production stage in less than nine months; presumably, the 130-inch model could get the same treatment. The TV is currently being showcased at Samsung’s Exhibition Zone at CES 2026, drawing an army of journalists eager to witness its capabilities.

A couple of days from now, when we will be discussing Best of CES 2026, I can bet Samsung’s 130-Inch Micro RGB TV (R95H) will top the list. But will it be the best TV at CES this year? I would say wait till LG, Sony, and HiSense reveal their cards.
