Aluminum lamps are a sustainable alternative to fragile plastic lamps. HiLight’s new LUMENFORGE is a perfect example of it. This desk lamp, available through a Kickstarter campaign, is distinguished by its unibody form forged entirely from solid aluminum that can also be adjusted to different angles. It is powered by a high-fidelity light source to reduce eye strain and flicker while working on a computer or reading a book. Thus making it a viable option for professionals and hobbyists who require accurate lighting for tasks like drafting, painting, or detailed electronics work.

The LUMENFORGE lamp boasts a minimalist, modern design that shows the natural beauty of solid aluminum. The main highlight is the unique rotation mechanism powered by a hollow-ring pivot. There are a total of three precision rotation axes in each lamp, allowing you to adjust it as per different needs. The lamp also comes with a thick, CNC-machined aluminum base that ensures great stability even if you are making adjustments in its position or angle.

This 18W lamp uses a single, high-power LED light engine to deliver uniform illumination that feels calm on the eyes. A custom prismatic optical diffuser further breaks down the intensity of the LED and redistributes the light evenly across the entire workspace. The optical system is also claimed to prevent flicker or glare.

With CRI (Ra) ≥ 97, the LUMENFORGE lamp shows colors and details just like they would look in natural daylight. The lamp is able to deliver up to 1600 lumens of high-quality light that is enough whether you are reading novels, reviewing documents, or just checking your smartphone while lying on the bed.

You can also tune the lamp temperature from 2000K to 5000K to meet different needs. There are onboard buttons to control the lamp, but a remote control is also included for user convenience. It is something like Pure Form’s aluminum desk lamp, but featuring a rounded, light-emitting head instead of a bar-like, elongated form. This particular design element makes it ideal for focused illumination, making it a perfect desk lamp.

HiLight is currently seeking funds for its LUMENFORGE CNC-machined aluminum lamp on Kickstarter. You can pledge a minimum of $89 to get one delivered to your doorstep in April 2026.
