If you know a thing or two about EDC, you’re likely familiar with Victorinox. The brand’s Swiss Army Knives, versatile multi-purpose tools, are absolute favorites among EDC enthusiasts and make hugely popular gifts. With its deep heritage, Victorinox keeps evolving, regularly introducing fresh takes with new materials and finishes. Case in point, it has just released the twelfth annual Alox Limited Edition collection, featuring three classic Swiss Army Knife models in a sharp new Glacial Blue finish.
The 2026 release features scales inspired by the serene power of Alpine glaciers. This year’s color follows the highly popular Stone Red edition from 2025, which paid tribute to earth and rock, making Glacial Blue a striking contrast that collectors have been anticipating since the series began with Steel Blue in 2015.
The limited-edition lineup includes the Pioneer X, Classic SD, and Evoke, each constructed with embossed anodized aluminum that Victorinox has been refining since the 1950s. Unlike the traditional plastic-handled versions made from Cellidor thermoplastic, these Alox models feature punched aluminum scales that offer real durability advantages and a slimmer profile while maintaining serious grip. We’ll talk about each of these tools in detail below.
Starting with Pioneer X, it stands out as one of Victorinox’s best all-around multi-tools. At 3.7 inches closed and weighing just 0.2 lbs, it packs five functions into a compact package that easily disappears into your pocket. The tool set includes a large blade, spring-loaded scissors, a can opener, a bottle opener, multiple screwdrivers, a wire stripper, and a reamer. It’s the kind of knife that handles everything from tightening screws to opening bottles without weighing you down.

For those seeking a compact option, the Classic SD remains Victorinox’s most widely recognized model. Measuring only 2.3 inches closed and tipping the scales at 0.03 lbs, this keychain-friendly knife still manages to include a blade, scissors, nail file with screwdriver tip, and key ring.

The Evoke represents a departure from traditional Swiss Army Knife design. Rather than a multi-tool, it’s a dedicated folding knife with a 3.87-inch drop-point blade, thumb stud for one-hand opening, back lock mechanism, and paracord lanyard. At 0.4 lbs and 5.4 inches closed, it carries more heft than its siblings but offers the kind of modern features that appeal to those who want a serious cutting tool backed by Swiss precision.

According to Victorinox, the Glacial Blue colorway “evokes the serene power of Alpine ice. Cool and crisp, the tone is reminiscent of the Swiss precision and intelligent capability inherent in all our pocket knives. In the twelfth reinvention of this coveted limited edition, Glacial Blue denotes calm, focus, and strength.”

The manufacturer hasn’t disclosed exact production numbers, but based on previous annual releases that typically ranged from 9,000 to 15,000 units per model, collectors shouldn’t expect these to stick around indefinitely. The Alox Limited Edition 2026 collection is available now directly from Victorinox. Pricing runs $48 for the Classic SD, $82 for the Pioneer X, and $140 for the Evoke.
