The Composer One is a modern in-sink disposal system that tackles all your food waste problems with a one-touch control lever. Designed by Composer, a kitchen systems company, the Composer One is showcasing at the Kitchen & Bathroom Industry Show (KBIS) 2026. This kitchen essential is designed to work more quietly, safely, and to intuitively handle 100 percent of everyday food waste without clogging.
With Composer One, you can keep food waste out of the trash and make it slide down the system effortlessly, facilitating a climate-friendly kitchen cleanup. For a quieter and streamlined kitchen, it replaces the traditional wall switch with a one-touch control lever, which you can lift to open the stainless steel drain iris, load scraps, and push to seal and grind.
Every aspect of Composer One works in sync with each other to deliver a top-notch performance. To prevent buildup before it begins, the machine uses a three-step process to break down food and keep it flowing through the pipes. The 1.0 HP high-torque motor grinds food waste quickly and efficiently, handling everything from food scraps to leftovers.
After the motor is done with the grind, the composer releases enzymes that break down the remaining smallest particles over time, preventing food from sticking or building up in your pipes. The powerful automatic water flush moves food waste swiftly through the system, so that nothing lingers and pipes stay cleaner without the need to run the faucet.

The Composer One illuminates the space below your sink with its motion-activated under-cabinet lighting. With this feature, you can keep a check on the machine and know what’s happening inside your cabinet. The drain pipe of the composer is compatible with standard drain plumbing, so no matter the size or design of your kitchen, it fits right in.
This machine is the perfect and sustainable kitchen companion to deal with food waste that could potentially cause bigger problems in the kitchen. The machine comes in three colors – Marshmallow, Avocado, and Kumquat – and is available for preorder at the company’s official website for just $500.
