The RV industry is steadily emphasizing electrification, smart systems, and off-grid capability. We have already seen potent examples like Evotrex-PG5 RV, which generates its own power, AC Future, and Pininfarina’s AI-THt self-powered trailer, or the Pebble Flow self-driving RV that has eventually become a reality. California-based Skydream also thinks on the same lines, therefore, employing an electric-first approach rather than fuel-based systems for its latest spacecraft-inspired RV concept. Unlike traditional travel trailers, it focuses on efficient energy use, battery-powered appliances, and smart power management for better compatibility with EVs.
The Skydream RV concept is closely aligned with electric mobility and is built for efficient off-grid living. It features a 45-85kWh LFP battery paired with up to 2,200W of rooftop solar to reduce dependence on fuel-based systems. Additionally, it supports reverse EV charging, enabling you to power your electric vehicle or outdoor gear like drones and e-skateboards.
For easy mobility, it features smart driving assistance for caravans (ADAS) that integrates driving support, one-touch trailer hitching, and automatic parking, so that the caravan can automatically dock with the towing vehicle. This simply means you can set up the trailer with the touch of a button – no complications and hard work involved. New Atlas notes that it will also include other ADAS features like drive support, anti-sway correction, hill start assist, traction assist, active steering assist, regenerative braking, and 360-degree remote monitoring in the future.
The Skydream travel trailer also comes with one-touch preset modes that automatically configure the trailer for different needs. In the Camp Mode, the trailer deploys its stabilizers, completes auto-leveling, and extends the awning and the flip-out balcony to maximize outdoor living. Likewise, the Movie Mode automatically dims the lights, closes the curtains, and deploys a 60-inch projection screen in either the living room or bedroom. Lastly, the Sentry Mode allows 360-degree monitoring of the exterior and sends intrusion alerts to your phone.
This travel trailer also incorporates smart functionality to cater modern needs of people. It comes with a full-vehicle intelligent control system for RVs. You can monitor and operate the caravan’s systems through voice commands, mobile app, and integrated control panels, which has been a popular dream for many RV enthusiasts.

As for the interior space, the trailer features an apartment-like modular layout that adapts to different situations. The living room, featuring a U-shaped sofa, lies on the rear, a central kitchen connects all the spaces, and a compact bathroom is placed next to it. There is a dedicated bedroom at the front, while a unique side balcony extends the living area outdoors.
The Skydream travel trailer is defined by its futuristic space capsule silhouette rather than a traditional white-box look. It measures 26.6 feet long and has a dry weight of 2900 kg (6393 lbs). Each trailer sits on a caravan skateboard chassis with integrated water tanks, circuit, and controllers.
With such high-tech features, the Skydream travel trailer is surely a great concept for electric-based RV life. It recently gained international attention at major trade fairs like the Caravan Salon Düsseldorf and is making its North American debut on 23 March 2026. There is no word about the pricing and availability yet.
