The experience of watching a movie in a theater surpasses that of your home viewing, primarily through the combination of massive screens and surround sound, something that cannot be replicated at home. Or can it? Ultimea, an audio-visual brand focusing on affordable, mid-range home theatre solutions, believes it can be. The company has launched the Skywave X100 Dual 9.2.6 Wireless Home Theatre System that challenges the status quo.
First showcased at CES 2026, the Skywave X100 Dual is a fully wireless 9.2.6-channel home theatre system. Available in two models, Skywave X100 Dual (9.2.6) and Skywave X100 (9.1.6), it is a full multi-channel home theatre setup featuring a soundbar with a dedicated subwoofer and modern HDMI connectivity, including eARC.
As the name suggests, the Skywave X100 Dual is the 2000-watt version with two subwoofers, while the Skywave X100 is the 1500-watt version with one subwoofer. The launch marks a significant upgrade from the company’s previous flagship. Building on the well-received Skywave X70, which earned praises from reviewers, the new system introduces a considerably expanded channel configuration and more powerful hardware across the board.
As detailed in the brand’s press release, the Skywave X100 Dual’s 9.2.6 setup includes a main soundbar with six up-firing channels, four surround speakers, and two subwoofers delivering bass down to 18Hz, with a combined output of 2,000-watt. The system carries THX tuning certification and supports both Dolby Atmos and DTS:X, while its proprietary CineMesh wireless technology maintains latency below 20ms.
Connectivity includes HDMI passthrough for 8K@60Hz and 4K@120Hz, Bluetooth 5.4, and Auracast. Users are able to manage audio through a companion app offering a 10-band EQ and 121 preset modes. Other features include “NeuraCore DSP & GaN Amplification,” ensuring advanced processing and high-efficiency power alongside dynamic sound with incredible clarity.

The Skywave X100 Dual drew considerable attention when it was demonstrated at CES 2026 in January. TechRadar’s Matt Bolton, who tested the system on the show floor, reported that the “surround effects from the Skywave X100 Dual were the most convincing he had heard from any soundbar-based system,” crediting the physical placement of actual side-firing speakers rather than simulated surround processing. He also highlighted the impact of the dual subwoofers, describing the bass as filling the room and physically gripping the listener.
The Skywave X100 Dual carries a retail price of $2,300, while the single-subwoofer Skywave X100 9.1.6 is priced at $1,600. But here is the good news. Ultimea is offering both versions for a massive discount on Kickstarter. Skywave X100 Dual is available for preorder at a Super Early Bird Price of $1,000, while Skywave X100 is going for $800.
