The van conversion expert mainly focuses on making signature layouts for 144-inch and 170-inch wheelbase Sprinters, continued in the all-new Album model. Built on the 144-inch Sprinter chassis, it is introduced as a semi-modular layout that allows you to use the van as a gear hauler if needed, making it truly modular.
The core highlight of the Album floor plan is a multi-use rear lounge that serves different purposes as required by the user. It is centered on a Murphy bed that folds away against the driver’s sidewall during the day and drops down at night for sleeping. This platform measures 80 inches (203 cm) long, providing enough space for two people to sleep comfortably. The folding bed is designed for convenience, so you drop it down and sleep directly without the hassle of setting up cushions and bed slats.
The simple action of folding up the bed turns the van’s rear into a cargo carrier or a cozy lounge, as needed. The camper van has an open walkway in the middle, making it easy to move around. This space can be used to carry luggage and large items like bikes or surfboards.
Vanspeed has utilized its ModuRide Cargo System to offer flexible seating and cargo solutions. Unlike traditional fixed seating, this bench is anchored to floor-integrated L-tracks, which means you can slide it along the length of the van or remove it entirely for transforming the rear space into a toy hauler, lounge, or passenger carrier.
The Album’s Murphy bed is independently supported, so you can remove the bench for extra storage and still deploy the bed for sleeping. You can also extend the standard bench into an L-shaped sofa using a drop-in cushioned panel. Furthermore, the cabinet below the bed has a hideaway dual-leaf swivel table, turning the rear space into a dedicated mobile office or dining nook.
Vanspeed has extended the multifunctional elements even in the wet bathroom, as it doubles as a storage closet. There are folding shelves attached to the rear wall instead of removable shelves for fast setup. The camper van does not include the front dining area, which creates extra space for a larger kitchen with more counter space and appliances.
