Changes itself according to the space and needs

Capturing the weightless essence of clouds, the Nubbi sofa by Spanish OGO Furniture debuts at Salone del Mobile this year, featuring a new, magnetic shade. It features organic, cloud-like, modular volumes that reflect the current trend towards sensorial luxury by prioritizing weightless comfort and a relaxed aesthetic. The sofa invites users to disconnect and fully immerse themselves in the experience of calm and rest.

With the sofa, the brand aims to serve a chameleon-like modular ecosystem, changing itself according to the space and needs. It is inspired by the fluid, changing silhouettes found in nature while moving away from the rigid, enclosed indoor environments. Nubbi embodies an adaptive philosophy using a flexible modular system that can shift into straight, sinuous, or circular configurations, naturally adapting to any space and multiplying its uses.

Implementing a deliberate architectural balance, a curved wood base is paired with expansive, soft fabric volumes that create “open spaces” within the piece itself. These intentional voids reinforce a feeling of weightlessness and openness, preventing the furniture from feeling like a barrier in a room. Moreover, the curved shapes mimic the movement of a wave, evoking aquatic serenity.

When asked about the brand’s design philosophy, OGO tells Homecrux, “Our creative journey is defined by our island roots, manifesting in organic shapes and colors that reflect the sea and the sun, yet it is balanced by a nomadic versatility that allows our pieces to adapt seamlessly to interiors, outdoor spaces and even water.”

The brand focuses on freedom and joy while transforming each space into a sanctuary where having fun is at the topmost priority, encouraging people to love with open hearts. At its core, the brand doesn’t just design objects but pauses moments. Its goal is to encourage users to live in the moment and share life at an unhurried pace.

Each piece is meant to evoke the serene, peaceful character of the Mediterranean, reflecting the brand’s island roots. Debuting the new shade at the exhibition, the color stands as an extension of the ocean while evoking a calm state.
