Back in the 90s, LG and Samsung ruled our homes, but as smart home needs evolved, Chinese companies stepped in, and Ecovacs emerged as a standout. The company went on to build a strong reputation with robot vacuums and outdoor mowers.
Now, the brand is taking that momentum into uncharted waters with the Ultramarine P1, a robot pool cleaner first teased at CES 2026 and now available for $449, which is 10 percent off its $499 retail price.
As detailed in the company’s press release, Ultramarine P1 boasts 4800GPH UltraPure Suction Technology, featuring a high-performance motor and a specially engineered S-flow anti-clog channel that tackles leaves, sand, and fine debris across every inch of the pool. A dual-layer filtration system pairs a 180-micron outer mesh with a 3-micron ultra-fine inner filter to capture over 10 types of debris, “including fine particulates like pollen, delivering up to 99% pickup efficiency for consistently crystal-clear water,” the company states.
Navigation is another area where the Ecovacs Ultramarine P1 stands out. The SmartNavi system uses an IMU sensor to map the most efficient cleaning path and claims 99 percent floor coverage. The unit then relies on four independently operated roller brushes to keep it steady during turns and ensure consistent scrubbing throughout. Other features include a 5,200mAh battery unit that covers up to 1,938 square feet per charge in Eco mode, providing roughly three hours of cordless runtime.
On the durability front, the Ultramarine P1 is built to last. It boasts a 316 stainless steel and titanium alloy shell, an IP68 waterproof rating, and multi-layer O-ring sealing to handle the long-term pressures of regular pool use. The Ultramarine P1 works seamlessly with the Ecovacs Home app, which ties everything together with scheduling, three cleaning modes, and adjustable efficiency settings.
But here is the catch. While Ecovacs has firmly established itself in the robot vacuum market, the pool cleaning space is a much tougher crowd. Aiper and Beatbot already have a stronghold on the market, and Mammotion has been quietly winning over buyers with the Spino S1 Pro, delivering capable hardware at a friendlier price.
That said, Ecovacs is clearly not walking into an empty room. But for those willing to give the newcomer a shot, the Ultramarine P1 is now available on Amazon and the brand’s official website.
