Until now, we have covered a range of tiny houses from North American and Australian manufacturers, but Europe appears to be picking up the trend at an even faster pace. The latest example comes from SV Mini House SRL, an Italian company based in Spresiano, Italy, that has designed what it terms the Italian tiny house on wheels.
Most people are drawn to tiny houses for their minimalist lifestyle and affordability. The Italian company channels both of these qualities into something far more compact. The company has designed several floor plans of the Italian tiny house, ranging from 16 to 22 feet in length.
Akin to Baluchon, one of the famous European tiny house manufacturers, each unit is mounted on a double-axle trailer and built from wood and aluminum on road-certified trailer frames, complete with official license plates and a standard circulation permit, implying they can be legally transported on public roads. For the time being, we will focus on the 22-foot model.
Inside, the layout follows the same logic as found in Baluchon dwellings. The tiny house features a living room, kitchen, bathroom, and a sleeping loft. A French glass door welcomes visitors into the dwelling, where a compact yet highly functional kitchen greets them. The kitchen is equipped with all the essentials: a countertop, an array of cabinets, and a range of appliances, including a refrigerator, a two-burner cooktop, and an oven. One particular feature worth noting is the extended countertop, which comfortably seats two people for dining.
Adjacent to the kitchen is the living room. It features a U-shaped, storage-integrated sofa that makes smart use of limited space. Unlike living rooms found in larger American homes, this space is intentionally compact and includes a ladder that provides access to the first sleeping loft. The loft easily accommodates a couple, and for those living solo, it can just as easily serve as a guest space or a studio room.
Opposite the living room is the bathroom. In contrast to bathrooms designed by other European tiny house manufacturers such as Baluchon and Madieguincho, the Italian Tiny House bathroom is notably more spacious, managing to accommodate a vanity, a shower, and a toilet without feeling cramped. Above the bathroom lies the main bedroom, accessed via a storage-integrated staircase.
A small shelf, reminiscent of the MTL style, subtly divides the sleeping area from the rest of the home, offering a sense of privacy. Additional storage runs throughout the home, ensuring that every square foot serves a purpose.

As a standard setup, the Italian Tiny House includes a living area with a lounge and kitchen, a bathroom with a shower and toilet, and a couple of sleeping zones. Where it truly stands apart, however, is in its interiors, and this is where personalization begins. Buyers can customize the layout fairly freely, provided that the structural weight balance of the unit is maintained.
For those interested, the turnkey model starts at $100K and can be purchased directly through the company’s official website. For those who prefer a hands-on approach, SV Mini House also offers self-build versions starting at $65,000.
These units come with the exterior fully completed and road-certified, while the interior is left as a blank canvas, free of fixtures or installations. Like most tiny houses, both versions rely on standard RV-style hookups to meet their power and water supply needs.
