The 2026 Nissan Frontier PRO-4X is surely a strong choice for a camper build due to its off-road foundation, high towing capacity of up to 7,150 lbs, and a standard 310-hp V6 engine. Exploring this potential, the Overland Expo Foundation has selected a Crew Cab, Short Bed 2026 Frontier PRO-4X in Afterburn Orange as its “2026 Ultimate Build”. Built by the team at Alldogs OffRoad Coop (ADO), the truck showcases its capability as a versatile overlanding and adventure vehicle.
The Overland Expo team added several aftermarket and accessory components from 28 partner brands, including the Tune Outdoor M1L camper, to prepare the Nissan Frontier for overlanding. The M1L features a hard-sided pop-up construction with a durable aluminum frame and composite materials. It weighs just 322 pounds, which is pretty impressive for such a functional unit. For sleeping, the camper uses a custom AirBed from Pittman Outdoors.
The truck camper is equipped with RotopaX water storage jugs, Rixen shower, electric fridge, and a Breeo Y Series firepit that makes it capable of serving as a self-contained basecamp. It also includes roof-mounted solar panels and a REDARC power management system to run onboard accessories like an integrated fridge and freezer.

While the truck comes standard with Bilstein shocks, electronic locking rear differential, underbody skid plates, and all-terrain tires, it has been further customized for even better off-road capabilities. The rig features an ADO Titanswap kit combined with ADO-spec proprietary Fox Performance Elite coilovers and rear shocks equipped with DSC high/low compression adjusters.
The build also includes ADO coil springs, parabolic leaf springs, high-clearance upper control arms, heavy-duty lift shackles, stainless steel tie rod extensions, and extended stainless steel brake lines. The 2026 Overland Expo Ultimate Build is not for sale and will be sold through a Bring a Trailer auction later this year.
