Among many understudied women’s health scenarios, menopause tops the list. Millions of women undergo menopause each year globally. Unfortunately, little has been done to study the health implications and how to ease the symptoms, including hot flashes. Menopausal women have difficulty getting a good night’s sleep during hot flashes, and the K-25 Cooling Blanket is a practical solution.

Created by SOLO-RM, makers of the popular K-25 cooling pillows and sheets, this blanket is made to prevent heat from lingering while avoiding the damp or clammy feel often associated with traditional blankets. There is no need for an extra duvet cover as the maker recommends direct skin contact for the best cooling effect. It is a boon for menopausal women, who will sleep like a baby without waking up to sweats and flashes with the K-25.

Crafted with innovative FrostFiber technology, the blanket uses a special fabric made from a combo of nylon and spandex. The special fabric has a Q-Max value greater than 0.4, which absorbs body heat and instantly lowers surface skin temperature upon contact. When you shift positions, the fabric’s cooling effect delivers a “fresh” cold surface. The only question that comes to mind is whether you need direct skin contact for the cooling effect. You may need to sleep without thick layers of clothing, or need to transfer the heat fabric-to-fabric.

The blanket features a breathable structure that allows air to pass freely, preventing body heat from being trapped. There is more: the blanket has mechanical moisture-wicking fibers to pull away sweat from your skin and evaporate it so that you stay completely dry and free from night sweats.

On top of all, the blanket is machine washable, allowing for easy maintenance and cleaner bedding, while its OEKO-TEX Standard 100 certification ensures it has been tested for harmful chemicals. Additionally, the CertiPUR-US certified fill keeps the blanket lightweight and easy to adjust during sleep.

The K-25 Cooling Blanket is designed for hot sleepers and people dealing with night sweats, including pregnant women and postpartum moms. However, it is especially suited for menopausal women experiencing hot flashes and even teenagers who tend to sleep hot. It can be used by side sleepers, back sleepers, and stomach sleepers.

The K-25 Cooling Blanket is available in Twin/Twin XL, Full/Queen, King/Cali King, and you can choose from three colors: Arctic Blue, Glacier Gray, and Off-White. You can pre-order it from Kickstarter right now for a price tag of $115, with delivery slated for September 2026.
