The iconic USM Haller modular furniture is not only a great choice for storing media and audio equipment, but it can also integrate a hi-fi audio system directly into the furniture itself. Symbol Audio has developed a range of custom speaker modules that embed active electronics and dedicated acoustic hardware into USM’s official modular furniture line. This allows the furniture to become part of the listening system while neatly concealing the speakers within the modular units.
The launch aims to bring high-performance audio into the USM modular ecosystem without affecting its architectural design language. The collection builds on Symbol’s earlier award-winning work with the USM Haller system for vinyl storage and audio setups, which is now expanded for a fully integrated hi-fi experience at homes and workspaces. Designed to fit seamlessly into existing configurations, the system delivers rich and balanced sound while ensuring a clean aesthetic that defines USM.
The USM Large Speaker standalone version is a 2-way loudspeaker housed in a 28L aperiodic cabinet inspired by the classic Dynaco A25 heritage design. A combo of two units, each featuring a 10-inch paper cone woofer and a 35mm textile dome tweeter to deliver a smooth sound profile with extended bass response.
The collection includes a smaller bookshelf standalone version that uses a coaxial woofer paired with a fabric dome tweeter. Built as a pair, it is meant to be used for stereo setups, modular systems, and home theater integration. There is also a subwoofer version designed to integrate seamlessly within existing USM systems. The integrated speakers in these versions are engineered with Sonos Amp compatibility so you can run high-end, room-filling sound wirelessly straight out of the furniture structure.

Built with powder-coated steel panels and a chromed steel frame, the system maintains the architectural aesthetic of the USM lineup. The adjustable leveling feet and a choice of 14 iconic colors further enhance its flexibility.
Available in small, large, and subwoofer versions, the speaker modules follow the same clean architectural language that defines USM. You can also choose from various pre-configured designs including a DJ Console, Speaker Towers, Mobile Stereo Cabinet, and Hi-Fi Wall, all featuring Symbol Audio Speaker Modules fully integrated into the steel grids.
The pricing starts from $4,850 for the Subwoofer module. You can also buy the individual hardware modules separately through the Symbol Audio Store to swap into your current grid.
