Reno-based AEONrv has unveiled its 2026 truck campers, bring referred to as “the most significant product advancement in its history.” Unlike previous iterations with only an outer fiberglass shell, the 2026 enhanced truck camper models feature a fully wood-free interior. The cabinetry now features a PET structural foam core made from recycled plastic bottles. This upgrade reduces interior cabinetry weight by up to 50 percent, removing the risk of warping, rattling, or water damage.
While major RVs rely on wood framing for internal reinforcement structures and some even use steel plates, like the Winnebago Arka, AEONrv goes a different route. It retains the fully insulated fiberglass composite cabin with an average insulation value of R-15, but uses PET foam inside the interior wall panels and cabinet structures as a hidden structural core. This results in a stronger interior cabin and also gives a boost in usable payload capacity.
The truck camper is built on the upgraded one-ton Ford Transit AWD cutaway chassis with a 156-inch wheelbase. It is outfitted standard with a Van Compass 2-inch lift kit, heavy-duty skid plates, and all-terrain tires, maintaining a 9,950-lb Gross Vehicle Weight Rating (GVWR).
One more upgrade is the new all-electric energy platform that supports heating, cooling, cooking, and onboard power without any gas-powered equipment. It comprises 5.12 kWh Victron NG lithium batteries, Victron Orion XS charging technology, and up to 800 watts of rooftop solar. This system delivers improved battery monitoring, faster alternator charging, and deeper energy density, allowing travelers to stay self-sufficient for longer.
As for the interior layout, the 2026 AEONrv truck campers feature a front convertible dinette, a mid-ship kitchen galley, a multifunctional entry wet bath with a toilet, and an elevated rear queen bed sitting directly over a heated gear garage.

There is also an AEONrv EXT model that increases the vehicle size by an extra 18 inches. The added length supports a four-person sleeping configuration, a larger convertible dinette, and an expanded gear garage with room for up to four bikes. The GVWR is raised to 11,000 lbs, and towing capacity is increased to 5,000 lbs, while it comes with a massive 1,200W solar array with a 10.24 kWh base battery bank.
Pricing for the 2026 AEONrv hardshell truck camper starts at $229,500, while the new AEONrv EXT starts at $239,500 on the official website.
