The easy-to-set-up inflatable tents have become one of the biggest trends in outdoor living. The FLFQ-Aloner FLOAT, Air Station Pod-01, and Cube Solo Air Tent are some of the most innovative models available today. Now, Puffer Outdoors is expanding the category with its latest Puffer inflatable camping tent, raising the bar for competitors.

Unlike most options that feature airbeams for the exoskeleton system, the Puffer tent uses a dual-zone system featuring an integrated air mattress base and a supportive structural airbeam frame, making it an all-in-one sleep system. This design requires no poles and lets you inflate the shelter in about 1 to 2 minutes using an included electric pump.

The Puffer Tent features two separate inflation zones: the 4-inch floor base and the structural beams. You have to keep the base air pressure between 1-2 PSI to make the bed softer for side sleeping, while the structural arches can be kept at 5 PSI to withstand high winds. The entire frame and mattress are stitched together as one unit.

The core feature of the Puffer camping tent is the 4-inch-thick inflatable air-base mattress, which makes it ideal for sleeping comfortably even over uneven surfaces. It offers an 85 x 42-inch inflated floor and an interior height of 42 inches, which comfortably sleeps up to two people, along with a kid or pet.

You get inside through a zippered mesh net on the front. The tent outer surface has four foldable window panels for ventilation, while side pockets offer storage. Each package also includes six stakes and four guy lines to secure the tent against windy conditions. A patch kit is also included in the package to repair punctured beams or base while camping.

Designed for portability, the tent packs down to just 25 x 10 x 10 inches and can be stored in a duffel-like bag for easy transport. Once set up, the exterior has an 88-inch-long footprint with a 50-inch height, while the 84.6 x 42-inch interior sleeping area comfortably accommodates campers.

The inflatable camping tent itself weighs 18.2 lbs, while it goes up to 22 lbs when packed with the E-Pump, carrying bag, and stakes. Looking at the weight, it is clear that it is not a standard camping tent for backpackers, but those interested in car camping or a rooftop tent alternative can surely opt for it to enhance the overall experience.

If you want to get one, the Puffer inflatable camping tent is listed for about $650 on the official Puffer Outdoors website. You can choose from two colors: Black is ideal for winter, while the white version will suit those looking to camp in hot regions. An electric pump is included with every purchase, so one package takes care of all things you need for camping, including a mattress.
