When it comes to inflatable furniture, you always have to choose between style and durability. With an idea to transform this perception, French startup Airmaan has come up with Z Lounger that does not look like an inflatable and is capable of withstanding tons of weight and harsh outdoor conditions courtesy of its high-performance composite structure. Billed as the world’s first super-inflatable furniture, it is lightweight, ultra-durable, and foldable to the size of a yoga mat, complete with carrying straps for easy transport to support life on the move.
The Z Lounger is super easy to set up: It inflates from a compact, portable mat into an ergonomic sun lounger in less than 30 seconds with a power pump. Inspired by the iconic LC4 chaise longue by Le Corbusier, its design blends an ergonomic shape with practical functionality. The contoured shape supports the body naturally, while the adjustable support pillow lets you sit upright, recline at a gentle angle, or lie completely flat. You just need to change the placement of the support pillow to change the sitting positions.
The Z Lounger is hand-assembled using AIRXELA’s patented technology that combines space-grade threads, a mesh core, a protective coating, and a waterproof outer shell. This multi-layered construction ensures the product is fully weather-resistant and can withstand any climate.

Designed with sustainability in mind, the Z Lounger is made to last up to 10 years in outdoor conditions. Its components are easily repairable, which helps reduce waste and ensure longer life. It measures 143 x 70 x 80 cm (approx. 56.2 x 27.5 x 31.5 inches) and weighs just 4.95 kg (approx. 8.8 lbs). When inflated, it is 10 cm thick, but compresses down to just 5 mm when deflated. Its compact, rollable form further minimizes the carbon footprint during the transportation process, adding to its eco-conscious design.
The Z Lounger combines the portability of a travel accessory with the durability and beauty of luxury outdoor seating. It is compatible with standard mats, which means you can customize it in your own way. If looking for a complete setup, the brand also offers a matching Z PAD to maximize comfort. Additional accessories like cushions, protective covers, a carry bag, air pumps, and fastening solutions are also available to further elevate the experience.
Airmaan is currently crowd-funding the Z Lounger on Kickstarter, and if you want one, you have to bak to the campaign for a minimum of €199 (about $226) to get one in October 2025.
