Alexandria Tiny House Goes Big on Space With Library-Style Shelves in the Bedroom

The 32ft tiny house also has a loft bedroom, living room, and a functional kitchen

There is nothing new I can say about Decathlon Tiny Homes that I haven’t already stated before. The Texas-based tiny house firm sources the highest quality material for durability and longevity. The final result they offer is a functional and aesthetic mobile home. The most recent example is that of the Alexandria tiny house on wheels.

Inspired by the company’s famous Poseidon model, the 32 feet tiny house stands firm on a triple-axle trailer. The micro dwelling boasts some big house comforts in a small space, including a sleeping loft, spacious living room, full kitchen, and a bathroom. However, the biggest highlight of the abode is a large main-floor bedroom that comprises library-style shelves, which turns this dwelling into a book lover’s heaven.

Visitors enter the living room first, with the kitchen adjacent to it, and the main-floor bedroom and bathroom to the far right. The makers have left the living room empty for the buyers to furnish the house with a chair and a coffee table. Not to mention, window seating, which serves as an ideal place to host decorative items.

The living room also features a storage-integrated staircase that is located near the entrance. The stairs lead to the loft of the tiny house, which sleeps two people comfortably. This loft section comprises egress windows and a skylight, which allows light to fill the space. Coming downstairs, we have the kitchen that looks decently proportioned, with plenty of cabinets and countertop space.

In addition, the kitchen is equipped with the usual amenities, such as an induction cooktop, sink, fridge, and microwave. I can’t spot a dining table or a breakfast bar, but Decathlon Tiny Homes unlike other US manufacturers haven’t been hell-bent on not including one in any of their models.

The kitchen then leads to the bathroom. It looks particularly spacious for a tiny house and includes a large shower, toilet, vanity, and a washer/dryer. On the far right is the shelf-incorporated master bedroom. As aforementioned, it not only sleeps two people in a breeze but also hosts a range of decorative items, books, and other nitty-gritty essentials.

The home is clad in wood with metal roofing that adds character and durability to the home. It gets its electricity from a standard hookup and is plumbed for either a septic tank or sewer. There is no word on the price of the Alexandria tiny house, but we estimate it to start at $112K, based on the cost of the company’s Poseidon model.
