Planning to buy a sizeable TV that has the perfect balance of cutting-edge technology and affordability? Amazon has just brought a new lineup of Fire TVs for your home, ahead of the Prime Day bonanza. At the device launch event in New York, a series of announcements of the new and improved products in the suite were announced, including new Echo devices, displays, Ring doorbell, Fire TV series, and Fire TV 4K Stick Select.

Along with all these hardware announcements, Amazon also revealed the smarter Alexa+ experience for enhancing the way we watch and discover content. The range will give users a lucrative option when stacked against the offerings from market leaders like Apple, Google, and Roku.

Here we’ll be focusing on its new Fire TVs and the Fire TV Stick, which are going to elevate your viewing experience. The range is divided into the flagship Fire TV Omni QOLED Series and Fire TV 2 and 4 Series. While the former is targeted towards the premium end, the latter is the more affordable option for budget buyers. Both get the latest Alexa+ version for direct voice commands to bring them closer to the market leaders in terms of an all-around satisfying experience.

Fire TV Omni QLED Series

The high-end Omni QLED Series has 60 percent better brightness levels and almost double the local dimming zones, resulting in sharper contrast. The color vibrancy also gets a boost with the HDR10+ Adaptive support and Dolby Vision. The highlighting feature in the TVs is the new Omnisense technology that adjusts the colors to the ambient lighting indoors. The feature also automatically powers down the TV when no one’s there, or can be set to display interactive art and photos.

To make everything seamless, Amazon has upgraded the processor, which is 40 percent faster and has energy-saving power management. The range includes TVs from screen sizes 50 to 75 inches with prices starting from $480.

Fire TV 2-Series and 4-Series

Amazon has updated the 2-Series and 4-Series range as well, with display sizes ranging from 32 to 55 inches across the two variants. Both of them now feature slimmer bezels and are powered by the improved quad-core processor that bumps up processing speed by 30 percent. The 2-Series is topped at HD resolution, while the 4-Series has a better resolution at 4K.

Amazon has included the Omnisense in this affordable TV range as well, adding energy-saving to the equation. The Dialogue Boost feature in the range lets the user boost the midrange without amplifying any background noises. The Fire TV 2-Series starts at $160 while the 4-Series has a starting price of $330.

Fire TV 4K Select

Amazon claims its new offering to be the fastest 4K stick available for under $40, which is $10 less than the next best affordable option, which is good news for prospective buyers. The stick is powered by the new Vega OS, which speeds up the app launch for a seamless user experience. It gives you access to the most-used streaming services like Prime Video, Netflix, HBO Max, Hulu, Disney+, Tubi, and a lot more. The device will also have cloud gaming support soon to enjoy Xbox Gaming, Luna, and Alexa Plus.

The last major update to the Fire TV Stick hardware came in 2023, and the compatibility with HDR10+ will add to the viewing experience. Of course, it can be enjoyed in 4K with supported content. The hardware has shrunken down since the stick comes with 1GB RAM, which is half as much as other 4K TV Sticks, but in no way lesser in performance. The Fire TV Stick 4K will be available for pre-order starting today and is slated to ship next month.
