Egypt-based furniture brand DE.CI has launched a new connected table that everyone would like to have in their smart home. Dubbed Dot Table, it comes integrated with Alexa, wireless charging, two USB ports, and Sony speakers. Additionally, the height-adjustability feature makes the table ideal for different uses at home.

Its rustic body, black-colored top, and shiny small wheels, together become a centerpiece wherever you place it. The tabletop is not a simple flat surface, it has a wireless charge built-in; simply place your compatible phone on the tabletop and it’ll be juiced up while you finish your cup of coffee.

The top can also slide out to reveal a small storage area underneath. The height can be adjusted at two different points according to different situations – as workstation or as bedside table.

Dot Table responds to voice commands – you can ask it to play music, update you on the weather, set alarms, reminders, etc., for you. According to the company, the table has built-in temperature, humidity, and lighting sensors. You can also use the companion mobile app to control different features of the home through the table.

All these features combined make Dot Table a worthy smart furniture piece. A furniture unit that can talk to you seems great but there will be some privacy concerns along the way.
