Minnesota-based Machine Age Lamps makes steampunk-style furniture and fixtures from old industrial steam-powered machinery. The coffee table made from a Carroll Shelby engine block is one of its most striking creations. Now, to give fans another reason to turn its way, Machine Age Lamps is introducing an antique aviation wall lamp that has some unique flair to it.
It is upcycled using a vintage cowling taken from a 1956 Piper Tri-Pacer, which once flew over Michigan. This wall lamp holds the history of the aviation industry and is a perfect piece for aircraft fans. Measuring 2-inches wide, 22-inches tall, and 16-inches deep, the lamp weighs approximately 30lbs.
Just like the original cowling has propellers, this aviation wall lamp has huge Edison style bulbs that rotate unhurriedly in order to create a cool scene. The lamp also has a dimmer switch that allows the adjusting of light levels.
The airplane cowling wall lamp also includes a propeller that is visible from outside, giving it a steampunk look. Furthermore, the vintage Piper emblem can also be seen on the cowling clearly.
