Antony Gibbon is an architectural designer who considers the environment as a driving force behind his work. Taking inspiration from nature, his treehouses have gained massive success with his Willow Treehouse in Catskills which is officially rated the number one Airbnb in New York. With the latest Burl Treehouses concept, Antony again pushes the boundaries of architectural design while keeping the environmental equilibrium.

These treehouses are a collection of pod-like structures suspended from surrounding trees by vertical stilts and suspension cables. The Burl Treehouses are available in different sizes and layout options, the tiny pods are supported by structural posts and suspension cables, connected to the surrounding trees for extra support.

Each pod has a suspension bridge that leads to the entrance. There is a big circular window as the central feature of each treehouse that allows the guests to enjoy views of the natural surroundings.

The exterior of these tiny pods is clad with charred wood shingles to enhance durability and make the structures weather-resistant. On the other hand, the interior boasts light cedar and ash wood that makes it aesthetically appealing and harmonizes with nature.

This design of the suspended pods makes them adaptable to the different landscapes of the forest with minimal footprints. The Burl Treehouse concept design, if actualized, will provide a unique forest living experience by elevating its inhabitants above the forest floor and connecting with nature.
