Aperitivo coffee table is designed by Modena-based Simone Cagnazzo for Italian furniture company Liu Jo living. The two round nesting coffee tables are an ode to Italian hospitality, particularly the Aperitivo, focusing on making the guests feel at home. Treading the same lines, this coffee table is designed for social spaces, where people can come together for a joyful time and feel comfortable.

The tables give a nod – through name and significance – to the tradition of Aperitivo, an Italian ritual of drinking before a meal to increase the appetite. The tradition is characterized by lively and cheerful moments of gathering and friendliness. To bring back the original expression, the nesting tables recall such moments with a dynamic design that further invites you to make memories.

The Aperitivo comprises of two round tables of distinct heights and sizes that provide a functional nesting design. The expressive, removable hand-glazed ceramic tabletops are handmade by Bologna-based ceramicist Federica Bubani, who still follows the region’s artisanal values. Complementing the artistry of the tabletop is the base structure composed of a tubular black metal frame.

Briganti Luca, head of commercial development at the Liu Jo Living, told Homecrux, “Aperitivo is designed precisely to use the large ceramic plate as a tray for Aperitivo courses for one’s guests.”

Luca further mentions that the Aperitivo tables rejoice in the idea of Made in Italy, which is further enhanced by vibrant and abstract colors of the tabletop, making it an eye-grabbing and unique piece that stands out. He says that “each piece is to be considered unique as it is hand-glazed, which is why the shapes and touches of color are always different for each item produced.”

This impressive coffee table is designed to cater indoor and outdoor spaces alike. Whether it is a lush green garden, living room, terrace, or any other space where relaxation and comfort thrives, the Aperitivo tables bring character and light-heartedness to it.

It is undoubtedly adaptable and can be configured in variety of styles and versions. Moreover, the Aperitivo coffee table is a zesty furniture that could enliven any space, while enriching the gatherers simultaneously. Or as Luca says, “It is the perfect coffee table set to give a glam touch to your living.”
