CES 2026 is all in the news, and Aqara made it clear that it is no longer just adding smart devices to homes, but aiming to make homes understand the people inside them. Across its latest announcements, the company focused on what it calls ‘intelligent space’ where devices don’t just respond to commands but adapt to behavior, presence, and energy conditions, all while staying deeply tied to the Matter standard and the Apple ecosystem.

At the center of Aqara’s lineup are two hub-style products that act as brains for the smart home. The Thermostat Hub W200 goes beyond basic climate control by working with Apple’s Adaptive Temperature and Clean Energy Guidance in iOS 26. In simple terms, it can adjust heating or cooling depending on whether you are home, asleep, away, or about to return, while also trying to run when electricity is cleaner or potentially cheaper. The large touchscreen turns it into a wall-mounted control panel, letting users check doorbell feeds or manage locks without pulling out a phone.

The Camera Hub G350 represents a big step for Aqara in home security. It is the company’s first Matter-certified camera and supports the Matter 1.5 specification, opening the door to wider compatibility with other smart home platforms. The dual-lens setup combines a 4K wide-angle camera with a telephoto lens for detailed zoom, while built-in AI allows it to recognize people, pets, and sounds. Automatic tracking keeps movement in view, and local storage options reduce reliance on the cloud, appealing to privacy-conscious users.

Aqara also leaned heavily into sensing technology that understands how people move and behave. The Spatial Multi-Sensor FP400 uses mmWave radar to track multiple occupants in real time, identifying posture and movement patterns. This allows it to tell whether someone is standing, sitting, or lying down, and even detect falls when mounted correctly, making it useful for elder care or assisted living scenarios. It is less about simple motion detection and more about understanding activity within a space.

The Multi-State Sensor P100 takes a different approach, focusing on versatility. With a 9-axis sensor, it can detect motion, vibration, taps, drops, tilts, and even glass breaks. Depending on where it’s placed, it can monitor doors, windows, or valuable objects, offering flexible security and automation options without adding bulky hardware.

Completing the hardware lineup is the Smart Lock U400, which uses Ultra Wideband technology to unlock automatically as you approach the door. It supports Apple HomeKey and is built with future digital key standards in mind, aiming to work across multiple platforms over time.

Beyond devices, Aqara also introduced Aqara Builder, a cloud-based platform for managing smart spaces across homes or commercial locations. Together, these announcements show Aqara’s broader vision: smart homes that are aware, efficient, and increasingly human-centric.
