Chairs have occupied a significant space in our lives, and we surely want them to be comfortable. The Vega chair collection, designed by Jasper Morrison for the Netherlands-based furniture manufacturer Artifort, is designed along the same lines. Sophisticated and sleek in looks, the Vega chair aims to provide cushion-like softness along with ergonomic support while being subtle in the surroundings.

The collection includes a mid-size lounge chair and a chair program. The modular chairs can fit a variety of different spaces while seamlessly integrating circular design principles, functionality, and modern aesthetics.

Unveiled at the Workspace Design Show Amsterdam 2025, the Vega has two circular cushions as the seat and the back that are strategically connected by a metal band with a metal tube framing them. The bases are finished with a powder coating, making them durable. The upholstery can also be customized among a variety of high-quality fabrics and leathers, with dual-tone customization as an available option.

The round cushions come in various bold color options that can be customized to form endless combinations. The collection brings simplicity to wider spaces, such as waiting areas, meeting rooms, dining rooms, homes, and creative workspaces. Through these 1.5 feet high seats, simplicity creates a broader reach for itself.

The modular design of Vega provides the buyer a choice of either a slick, tube-like armrest that elevates the design or a purely armless silhouette. Under all these design and color options lies an exceptionally strategized design. The collection is carefully crafted to provide ergonomic support and comfort. Sustainability is also kept in mind with these chairs, as every material used is fully separable and reusable.

There are three different base options to choose from: A steel tube four-legged base, a swiveling trestle base, or a trestle base on castors for different functional and aesthetic needs. The upholstery of the cushions can be fully removed in order to clean or even change, when needed. Even the repairs are made with easy-to-disassemble parts, which in turn simplifies the maintenance and increases the lifespan of the Vega chair.
