Exhibited at the IDS Toronto, the AUBE side table is a handcrafted, solid wood furniture piece that combines modern trends with Japanese design. Marked with clean lines and geometric shapes, the design is inspired by a subtle play of light and shadows. The table is multifunctional and can be used as a nightstand, a bath tray, and an end table. Or if you happen to have a cat, the table might end up being a cat tree.

Designed by Canadian brand Le Tenon et la Mortaise, the AUBE side table effortlessly factors into your everyday routine. It is designed and handcrafted in Canada using North American solid woods. The brand has used a non-toxic and biodegradable finish, suitable for moderate, everyday use. Seamlessly blending into your daily life, the table is designed to complement both residential and commercial environments.

Inspired by the sun rays pouring in your house from morning to evening, the table is two-tiered, which raises the elegance of the piece while maintaining its functionality. Whether it’s your early morning coffee, your evening soup, or your late-night wine, the table holds it all.

Your favorite books and magazines can also be stacked at the base, making them easily accessible. Its tiered design gives it a cat tree-like appearance, which can be an unintended utility in a household with felines.

The AUBE side table needs no assembly and comes ready to use. Measuring 14″ W x 21″ D x 28″ H, the furniture piece is available in four color options: red oak, cherry wood, sugar maple, and black walnut.

Embracing a slow design, the table focuses on timelessness over fleeting trends. The brand gives the contours of the table a changing experience depending on the light surrounding it.
