For this year’s 3daysofdesign in Copenhagen, Danish high-end consumer electronics brand Bang & Olufsen is set to exhibit Beosystem 3000c, a fully upgraded vinyl-based system inspired by the brand’s iconic 1985 Beogram 3000 turntable. While 3daysofdesign holds esteem stature among design festivals across the globe, some might wonder what business B&O has in displaying a product here that probably should have been showcased at Hi-End Munich or CES. Well, the reason is possibly this stunning console cabinet being used to display the Beosystem 3000c at the event.
The furniture piece, as showcased in the images, features a bold, glossy red finish that immediately draws attention. Its sleek, curved design and sturdy legs provide a modern yet functional base, holding the Beosystem 3000c with elegance. The open compartment on the left stores vinyl records, while a perforated panel on the right adds texture and ventilation. Flanking the turntable are two stylish Beolab 8 speakers with a wooden slat design, enhancing the piece’s audio-visual harmony.
Filip Hede and Frederikke Wild Meier, the designers behind the project, shared their thoughts on the console, stating, “We take great pride in its construction, which is 100 percent made in Struer: woodwork by our carpenter Søren Astrup, aluminium and anodization by Jan Søgaard, and fully auto-painted by a local contractor.”
For the time being, only six units have been produced, now dispersed globally, adding an element of exclusivity to this design. The limited production run ensures its status as a collector’s item, appealing to audiophiles and design enthusiasts alike. While the furniture piece has not been named yet, its versatility shines through its ability to serve as both a functional audio stand and a striking interior accent.

Placed against a backdrop of soft curtains and a neutral rug, as seen in the images, it blends seamlessly into contemporary living spaces while making a bold statement. For those in Copenhagen, attending 3daysofdesign, the piece is on display at the Bang & Olufsen flagship store on Østergade 18 or Bjarke Ingels Group’s (BIG) headquarters for the event’s duration, offering a rare chance to experience it firsthand.
