With the pace at which the Japanese gaming furniture brand Bauhutte is unveiling multipurpose gaming rigs and luring spirited gamers, we are not far from the day when we’d literally be sitting on a Bauhutte toilet seat and shooting our opponent with one hand, and wiping our back with the other. I know it sounds ridiculous (and smells even horrendous), but that’s where Bauhutte envisions taking its customers.

After unveiling gaming beds, knee cushion tables, and many other gaming rigs; Bauhutte now embarks on a journey to stamp out the likes of Herman Miller and Razer with its brand-new gaming sofa. So, why a sofa when we already have a surfeit of gaming chairs in the market?

Had I been Bauhutte’s CEO, I would have known better, but for now the company claims that a chair cannot offer the same softness that one would experience sitting on a cushy couch.

Weighing nearly 48 lbs, the single-seater sofa offers both ergonomics and flexibility to the user. Measuring 44 inches in length and 31 inches in width, the sofa boasts a spacious seat design that provides comfortable support for long sessions of gaming. The ‘corduroy fabric’ that the sofa is upholstered in is fluffy and soft to touch, while the three-layer structure in the center firmly supports your body and provides a comfortable seating experience with a stable posture.

Having said that, let’s dive into the other functionalities of Bauhutte’s gaming sofa. Hinging on its dual reclining system, the sofa offers the utmost comfort to the gamer who can either lean back up to 125 degrees (6 levels) or tilt forward, courtesy of 7-step angle adjustment support. Suitable for long gaming sessions, the dual recycling system also helps in maintaining an accurate head-raised posture when you are glued to the monitor.

If this didn’t leave you impressed, Bauhutte has added fluffy flip-up armrests that can be fixed at any angle according to users’ physique and play style. “The position can be finely adjusted (45 steps/2° pitch) within a maximum range of 90 degrees,” mentions the company.  But that’s not all, Bauhutte has added another X-factor to its furniture.

Bauhutte has accoutered the sofa with robust casters. This makes it easier for users to move the furniture from one room to the other. The sofa also features a sidebar to clamp on a mobile device because live streaming a game is as trendy as winning one.

Bauhutte has always been stressing on comforting the customer no matter if it cost people their physique or makes them a sloth, and with this sofa, they move one step further in gratifying the Gen-Z gamers, who know nothing, but shooting some guns from the comfort of their beds or couch. Estimated to be around $400, the gaming sofa would be available in Japan for now.
