This light-filled, off-grid tiny house hums the rhythm of the natural world and exudes the soft and golden beauty of a beehive. This spectacular tiny house belongs to Emily, who is a beekeeper by profession and knows the nurturing nature of the wonderful little buzzers. Against the panoramic backdrop, her house stands as a whimsical beehive, built for her and her daughter Olive.

Measuring 31 feet long and 10 feet wide, the exterior of the tiny house reflects the beauty of the natural world and takes a cue from the hexagonal geometry of the hive with plenty of hexagon windows for sunlight to brighten up the space. Just like bees, Emily is a lover of light and beauty, and that is the reason the windows are in abundance. Especially the stained glass windows throughout that make the house come alive with colors and patterns.

Emily has an outdoor bathroom and a composting toilet. The bathroom includes a tub or a shower, utilizing the space quite well. She calls her toilet a confessional, which is enclosed by an old confessional door and glass-stained windows. What makes the toilet unique is all the religious memorabilia with an artistic twist.

Inside the Beehive tiny house, things get more magical. With all of the stained glass, the light falls in beautifully and enlivens the space. The hexagonal windows make the interior feel expansive, while offering a connection with the outdoors. First, there is an ecstatic lounge area. It houses a vintage couch, a chair, and a cabinet, bringing a touch of sophistication and subtle beauty.

Emily has a walk-in wardrobe, which is surprisingly big and roomy enough to organize her and her daughter’s clothes. For a magical cooking experience, there is a kitchen on the other end of the tiny house. You walk in through an archway and into the kitchen, which features a generous countertop space that she has further extended with wooden and marble blocks. There are heaps of storage and appliances, including an oven, refrigerator, and cooktop.

To access the loft, there is a sturdy bush pole, which acts as a spiral ladder. Though the ladder is without rails, it is functional and aesthetic. Up in the loft, there are stained windows in the gangway that open up and provide an unobstructed airflow throughout the house. Emily’s master bedroom has a beautiful church light feature window that lets the light flow freely into the bedroom. It is roomy, illuminated, and minimal with a king-size storage-integrated box. There is a skylight as well to sleep under the stars.

Next is Olive’s bedroom, which she has designed herself. It has so many lovely details, including a church feature and a rabbit hole entrance door. Her room has a single bed, a pink chandelier, a side table, and so many church elements, making it a dreamy space.

Beehive tiny house is truly a work of wonder, with a touch of vintage and golden hues of the hive. She has poured her love, passion, and creativity into making this home a reality for her and her daughter. There are solar panels on the roof and a heat pump for hot water, making her house a practical, nurturing, and sustainable abode.

However, Emily is an explorer at heart and plans to travel around the world with her daughter, deciding to relocate her home. She is even up for selling the house, if it comes to that. Emily has invested around $131,000 to make this harmonious sanctuary with a touch of whimsy and wonder.
