Vancouver-based tiny house firm Rewild has revealed a mobile habitat dubbed Big Red tiny house. As evident from the name, the micro dwelling boasts a red wooden exterior with a myriad of windows to provide a high insulation value and lots of natural light. Built on a triple-axle trailer, the Big Red tiny house boasts a feeling of added space, courtesy of its spacious bathroom and capacious kitchen. Not to mention, a large skylight that bathes the bathroom in natural light.

Measuring 23 feet long, the tiny house features an open floor plan, which constitutes a gourmet kitchen and an expansive bathroom. “This home did not have a bedroom or living room – one wall was left open in two large sections and was attached to a pre-existing structure that was already built on site which contained bedrooms and a living room,” states the company.

“The best part of being a custom tiny home builder is the variety in style from the clients we get to work with! This 32’ bohemian style tiny home is full of local live edge wood all from the same stand of trees in the Cowichan Valley – and most of it is all from the same tree,” the company further explains.

Upon entering inside, the user is graced by live edge locally sourced wood that’s spread throughout the home adding charm and aesthetics to the structure. On one end of the tiny house is a dinette that features two wall-integrated benches and a live edge table acting as a partition in between. The table functions as a dining and is encompassed by windows from three sides.

Adjacent is an L-shaped kitchen that is accoutered with cabinetry, a countertop, a sink, and floating shelves. To add functionality to the space Rewild Homes has outfitted the Big Red tiny house with several appliances ranging from oven and microwave to refrigerator and dishwasher. The kitchen also includes a skylight that adds natural light to the space.

On the other end is the spacious bathroom that features natural slate flooring with in-floor heating. It also comprises a large glass shower with tiled walls and a composting toilet. The makers have also designated a space for a full-sized separate washing machine and dryer. A skylight above welcomes natural light to kiss the natural slate flooring. Thanks for reading Homecrux Steve. It’s a ‘big’ tiny house I assume.

Do you just sleep on the floor then? The layout is bizarre and there’s no esthetic cohesion between the very dark and busy kitchen and “dining” area and the lighter bathroom. Very strange indeed
