A bibliophile knows how difficult it is to organize books at home. Bookcases are a feasible way, but if you don’t have them at home, the only option you are left with is to display books on shelves. In the latter case, bookends become so important. Bookends come in a variety of styles and designs, in fact, we have featured so many of them, but none like the ones crafted by North Carolina-based Tom Taggart.

Aptly christened Book Monsters, these are one-of-a-kind bookends that hide within creepy miniature art, creating visuals that a monster is sneaking into your home. Creating art within a small bookend is surely a tedious job but Tom has done it so well. You can see zombie dogs, Frankenstein, werewolf, skull and other terrifying monster faces in them.

These monster bookends will make a fun and frightening addition to your bookshelf. You can check out all the Book Monsters on Tom’s Patreon page. He is planning to make them available on his Etsy shop soon.

Tom has worked as an illustrator and done 3D covers for Marvel, DC Comics, Dark Horse, Topps and even LucasFilm Arts. His work has also been featured on the covers of such titles as Batman, Swamp Thing, Doom Patrol, Animal Man, etc.
