Updated 02.03.2021:  Brette Haus’ foldable prefab tiny homes are easy to install and relocate – thanks to the integrated hinge system. They are delivered in a box and can be unfolded and set up in less than 3 hours by 2 people. Each house comes with a living room, kitchen, bathroom, and bedroom.

The company currently offers 3 main models – Rustic, Urban, and Compact that are available in different sizes. The pricing starts from $23,000 for the 237-square-feet Rustic version.

Wouldn’t it be great if you could take your house away with you wherever you go and set it up in your favorite location? This was not possible until Brette Haus came with an idea to create a CLT (Cross-laminated timber) foldable tiny house that’s easier to relocate without much hassle.

Using the 100-cycle hinge system, this prefabricated tiny home lets you build your comfy living space wherever you decide. All you need is to simply unfold the tiny portable prefab cabin at your desired location and set up beautiful low-emission affordable housing.

Brette Haus’ prefabricated tiny homes are made with natural materials to have a positive environmental impact. An extraordinary combination of materials such as a patented hinge system and cross-laminated timber is meticulously used to create this housing solution. Using orthogonal layers of wooden lamellas in special press conditions reduces the risk of house shrinkage. Besides, it even improves insulation, therefore, sustainability.

Everything inside the house has been beautifully organized and you don’t even have to worry about damaging anything during transportation. The cabins use 99% less water than standard site-built houses and also produce 80% less waste.

Moreover, the house doesn’t even require an air conditioning system, as natural air keeps flowing in through the microscopic pores to keep the interior well-ventilated. The wood also has electrostatic properties to guarantee that no static electricity generates within the house – making it ideal for people suffering from allergies. Each house comes equipped with almost all technical facilities: sewage, electric wiring, and plumbing.

Are Folding Houses Practical?

These houses are very practical since they don’t require a permanent foundation. You can set it up on any leveled base, but it’s recommended to use a screw pile foundation to minimize the impact on the land. Using the same foundation, you can easily relocate multiple times.

Brette Haus gets the foldable prefab home delivered to your desired location, where it can be unfolded and installed in three hours using a small crane. As per the situation, location, and requirement; you can customize a beautiful off-grid home with different kinds of solutions including a solar battery, water filter pumping system, and more. These are available in three different price options on the official website.
