Brick lamp is a minimalist lamp that resembles with a brick. The most vital and intriguing feature of the lamp is no power switch, no shades and no wires. Motive of HCWD Studio, a New York-based design studio, behind designing this lamp is to redefine user experience of daily objects and relationship of human scale, space and landscape.

Brick lamp is a functional and simplified lighting object which activates when raised on and deactivates when laid flat; a perfect replacement for power buttons. The LED lamp comes with power cord, which charges the built-in lithium-ion battery. Once fully charged, the battery promises to last for five hours and the shield circuit disconnect automatically to avoid electricity wastage. The perfectly engineering is responsible for equal distribution of weight allowing it to stand both vertically and horizontally.

Available in three different materials, i.e., walnut wood, concrete and aluminum, the lamp measures 19cm x 13.5cm x 4.2cm and comes with 3-watt warm LED bulb powered by a 4000-mAh lithium-ion battery. The charge is supplied by USB cable.

The Brick Lamp has successfully managed to achieve the 22,000 goal on Kickstarter, and you can also book one for yourself by pledging $120 for concrete version and $145 for solid wood version. Deliveries will start from July, 2015 with free shipping across USA.
