Where most North American tiny house manufacturers complain about not having too much room to equip a home with essentials, French tiny house maker Baluchon brushes this notion aside by continuously building models that measure less than 20 feet long. To put size in context, most Baluchon models are half the size of any traditional tiny house (Perpetua, Redwood, and Tellico to name a few) built by a US-based manufacturer. The Cardabelle tiny house, Baluchon’s latest creation is another compact yet thoughtfully designed micro-dwelling that redefines the concept of downsizing by offering a cozy and efficient living space for two people.

Despite its compact size, the Cardabelle manages to blend comfort and practicality, making full-time life on the road a super effortless option. Built on a double-axle trailer, the tiny home features a striking exterior of red cedar and aluminum, complemented by a sturdy spruce frame. Inside, the home’s insulation is crafted from eco-friendly materials, including recycled cotton, linen, and hemp.

Upon entering the house, you would come across the living area that offers an open, airy feel. The tiny house comes equipped with expansive windows that allow light to permeate the interior. The living room is furnished with a multifunctional sofa alongside shelving to maximize vertical space. Not to mention, an electric radiator that keeps the atmosphere warm.

Adjacent to the living room is the kitchen. The compact kitchen occupies a significant portion of the downstairs area but is surprisingly well-equipped for a tiny home. It features an oven, a two-burner propane stove, a fridge, a sink, and plenty of shelving, hence catering to both cooking and storage needs.

The solid oak countertops add warmth to the space while a small breakfast bar for two doubles as a work area, with a hidden nook for a laptop. There is a small crate in the kitchen, which looks similar to the one Acorn Tiny Homes had in its Pine Needle model. While we are not fully sure if it’s meant for pets or not but is a viable option to house a cat or a small dog inside.

The main floor of the Cardabelle tiny house also features a bathroom. Accessible via the kitchen, the bathroom includes a shower, vanity sink, and a toilet, everything needed in a space-saving layout.

Above the bathroom lies the loft bedroom of the house. Accessed via a staircase with built-in storage, this cozy sleeping area, with its low ceiling, accommodates a double bed and additional storage, making it an ideal retreat within the tiny house.
