Spanish brand Micuna is well known for eco-friendly children’s furniture. They were the first baby furniture manufacturer in the world to achieve IS0 14001 environmental certification. The Cocoto crib designed by Ximo Roca Design studio is their newest creations for babies.

Inspired by the Japanese origami technique, the crib features a folding design that allows it to be used as a mini-cradle, toy, bench and a carpet. The parents can use it in multiple ways, at first it is a simple crib but can also be turned into a bench and carpet in no time.

The main design element is the carrycot of the crib that can be flattened easily to use as a mat when the baby has grown up. It is made of a soft, sustainable, insulating and protective material.

Moving the Cocoto crib is also easy – thanks to the wheels with brakes on the feet. They can also be removed to lower the height. Made from recycled PET bottles, it not only provides the baby with a safe environment but also contributes to maintaining a green-blue planet for babies of the future.

The Cocoto crib was showcased at the 2019 Kind + Jugend Fair in Cologne (Germany), the international leading trade fair for premium baby and toddler products.
