Tucked away in the wilderness near Lake Harney is the spectacular Danville treehouse spanning across 25 acres. Given its uniqueness, this fantasy treehouse has rapidly become one of the most sought after spots for Airbnb users.

Despite its unique architectural design, what makes this treehouse stand out from other tree condos is a unique outdoor hot tub that’s made from original DC 10 jet engine cowling.

The owner of the treehouse, Dan Shaw, has been the mayor of the unofficial downtown community and wanted to incorporate jet engine and other industrial elements into this dream treehouse. That’s the reasons why this treehouse even has a two-ton hydraulic garage door that opens out of the side to reveal an airplane hangar. The hangar features a bar for hosting “goat happy hour” with some Nigerian pygmy goats.

Surrounded by oak and magnolia trees, the treehouse is perched 15-feet high between two giant oak trees. The residential elevator that looks like a tree trunk takes visitors into the 18-feet Yurt designed by Rainier Yurts.

The treehouse has a four-feet skylight, a panoramic window, 14-feet ceiling, and a complete bidet and full bath. In the kitchen, there is a microwave, sink, and mini-fridge. In the bedroom, you’ll find a queen-size Murphy bed that can be concealed into the wall to make a spacious living area during the day and a comfy bedroom at night. There is also a large flat-screen satellite TV, high-speed Wi-Fi with Netflix and Amazon facilities on board.

On the upper deck, you’ll find a wing chair and a table overlooking the entire property. On the yurt deck, there is a gas fireplace, gas grill, and seating for four. On the middle deck, there is a two-person outdoor shower with a hot tub made from DC 10 cowling. There is also a seating space to enjoy surrounding views in the evening.

On the ground level, there is a tiki hut, as well as an outdoor wood fire pit with stunning tree trunk seating. It is a perfect place to enjoy a chilly evening with friends under the star-lit sky.

You can check into the treehouse by booking it for a night through Airbnb for $170. Danville even hosts around 30 weddings a year, if you have plans for a destination wedding in seclusion and isolation, this can make a perfect spot.
