Investing in a high-rise building makes great sense, and if it is designed by a renowned architect, then its value is surely going to increase. The proof comes from David and Victoria Beckham, who have made a great deal after selling their luxury Miami apartment in the One Thousand Museum residential tower designed by legendary architect and designer Zaha Hadid. The couple reportedly purchased it as a brand-new property in 2020 for $19.8 million, and after four years of ownership, they have now sold it for about $25 million, which is definitely a profitable move.

This Beckham-owned penthouse is a full-floor unit that sits on the 59th floor of this 62-story residential building. Spanning about 9,200 square feet, the dwelling has five bedrooms and six-and-a-half bathrooms.

The interior space is equipped with luxury amenities, including a double-height aquatic center, a sky lounge, and Miami’s only private residential helipad. Another notable feature is its curving exoskeleton, which allows the interior space to have fewer columns. The exoskeleton is composed of 5,000 pieces of glass fiber-reinforced concrete.

Miami is well-known for attracting high-profile residents, and buildings like One Thousand Museum are always going to be a source of pride for the city. They are true examples of the evolving narrative of the luxury lifestyle, where living in a high-rise building is a dream for many, while some are fed up with living in them. The case can be anything, but one thing that remains constant is that these towering buildings are a great solution to land scarcity in modern cities.

One Thousand Museum’s iconic architecture is one aspect that affects the overall value of residences inside. But after celebrity ownership, the penthouse has become even more valuable because it can be tempting for many of us. The current owner may get an even better price for this luxury residence due to its celebrity connection.

Apart from the monetary value, the sale also marks changes in lifestyle priorities and may indicate a lesser interest in the city if thought of in the long term.
