Far from the hustle and bustle of city life, the Desert Dome awaits you for an unforgettable Airbnb experience. Situated in a small village of Chaparral, New Mexico, at BNC Farms home stay, it is a great spot to lose yourself in the tranquil beauty of the desert while having all the city amenities close by. It welcomes up to five people, as well as furry friends, for a good time. The site is all fenced and safe for pets to roam around. However, when not in the fenced area, all pets must be leashed. Other than this, you can enjoy your time indulging in plenty of indoor and outdoor activities.

Built in 2001, this geodome architecture is eye-pleasing with a touch of cottagecore. The triangle-shaped windows add to its distinctive feature, whereas a full-size entrance door and windows lend this family-friendly vacation rental a homely appearance to make it look like a home away from home.

The interior of the Desert Dome boasts an open-plan layout with a living room, kitchen, bathroom, dining room, and a loft bedroom. There is a separate doggy door in the kitchen as well for your furry friends to come and go as they please. However, you’d better not leave them unattended. In case you want to go out, they must be kennelled.

Anyway, back to the interior. Against the monochromatic beauty of the exterior, there is an opulent lounge area, offering luxury and peace. This space has two multipurpose futons and a large reclining couch, where three people can sleep comfortably. There is a smart TV for you to Netflix and chill. There are plentiful shelves, cabinets, plants, and tiny knick-knacks, making the space feel cozier and welcoming. Other than this, you can admire the geodesic architecture from the comforts of your space.

Behind the lounge area, there is a sensuous and intimate dining space. It is outfitted with a dining set-up of chairs and a round table, draped in rich green. There is some storage for displaying antiques, as well as some outstanding decorative pieces. What makes the space more enticing is the splash of colors throughout and lots of plants, as an alternative expression of the desert.

When you take a turn around the curve from the lounge area and dining, you stand in the spacious kitchen. It’s curvy and palatial with a generous countertop space, galore of cabinets, drawers, and shelves for storing a week’s worth of groceries. Easing cooking is the appliances, such as a cooktop, refrigerator, microwave, dishwasher, coffee maker, cooking basics, and more.

For workaholics, there is a separate workspace in a cozy nook behind the wall. It is well-appointed with a table and a chair. There is also a compact bathroom on the ground floor, which has a beautiful tiled countertop, vanity sink, and a toilet.

To reach the loft bedroom, you need to take the spiral staircase from the lounge area. The room is outfitted with a queen-size bed, a TV, storage, and windows, keeping the bedroom illuminated. The en-suite bathroom adds convenience. Enclosed by a large wooden door, the bathroom is bigger than the one on the ground floor and outfitted with a toilet, bathtub with a shower, vanity sink, and minimal storage for toiletries.

The Desert Dome is truly a unique destination to spend days or weeks with your family. There are plenty of indoor and outdoor activities to experience. You can play board games indoors, go hiking, explore national parks, or have full access to the garden, fire pit, outdoor dining, and whatnot. The list is endless. So, if you haven’t experienced the desert yet, then you can rent this property on Airbnb for just $186 a night, and grab the much-awaited opportunity.
