There are your run-of-the-mill Halloween displays, then come the massive, larger-than-life Halloween prop. We are talking about the gigantic Skeleton Army of Skeletron, created by DIYer James W Thomson of Bound Brook, New Jersey, for his Halloween yard AKA The Skeleton House with lots of malice and madness. Every year, his Halloween décor is a sight to behold as he loves to take decorating for the spooky season a little too seriously and a little too far. This year, Thomson’s spooky display is huge.

Celebrating 10 years of skeleton mayhem at The Skeleton House, James set-up Home Depot’s 12-foot skeleton Skelly and Costco’s ground-breaking skeleton in his yard to intimidate passersby. However, that was not it. He decided to amp things up with Skeletron display and his skeleton army. They come together to wage war against the 12-foot skeleton and his minions. Thus, the battle began.

James might have taken the inspiration from Megatron, the most tyrannical character of the movie Transformers and the leader of Deceptions, a villainous faction of alien robots. Though he hasn’t mentioned it himself, we can’t help but hear Skeletron say to his skeleton army, “I am Megatron, the leader of Decepticons.”

On October 10, James upgraded the Skeletron with longer arms, repaired his head, and changed the lighting from red to green for the dramatic touch. Then, he finished the display by combining small skeletons and stacking them on top of each other to form its legs, torso, arms, and head. Before the army of 12-foot skeleton marches to the battlefield, James had his Legion of Doom, as he calls it, ready for the final battle.

James posted his entire display on his Instagram page and people were in awe. He has been displaying skeletons for the past 10 years, keeping the legacy of The Skeleton House alive and thriving. Can you guess, who would have won the battle? Well, keep guessing, but 12-foot skeleton is no match for the enormous and the scariest Skeleton Army of Skeletron. You can enjoy the Skeletron display in person at The Skeleton House in Bound Brook, New Jersey. Happy Halloween!
